5. Ramblings – My Sylvanian Ville

I made a bunch of toy purchases this month, many have to do with taking advantage of online shops’ free shipping, plus discount on the CC Marshmallow Mouse Family.

Also bought my 2nd CC Town Series Designer Studio. It was USD 10.00 only at a big box toy store’s online shop, and it wasn’t even a discount or sale. Crazy!

Apart from the above, I bit the bullet and finally just bought the SF Hokkaido Lavender Rabbit Family set, 2014 version. My preference is the 2009 version but that’s hard to find. So I’ll settle for 2014 version for now.

Also, since I’ve now reached my monthly budget limit on toys, I am holding back getting some Re-ment sets in my list. I kinda stopped buying Re-ment regularly after I became a SF toy hobbyist. But I still have a long shopping list of Re-ment sets. Lol!

Anyhoo, since my job is on probationary status for 6 months, ending by end of May, plus this COVID-19 pandemic going on, I also am not sure if I’ll have a job still in June.

However, if I get to retain my job after May, I will celebrate by finally getting myself the SF JP Town Series Mansion. The House on the Hill/Oakwood Mansion is also calling out to me. But I’m prioritizing the Town Series building first. hehe!

I am in the process of getting this site completed. It’s been a challenge due to time constraints. And I have so many ideas and thoughts about this hobby and website to write down, share, or post.

Anyway, I can’t wait any longer and decided to just write away here. I realize that when I wait for the perfect time or opportunity to start posting here, I end up delaying posting anything at all.

So today.. I just wanna say, I’ve now been a Sylvanian Families hobbyist for about 3 years now and below are some updates.

Town Series

I’m currently trying to complete the Town Series releases, from 2018 and 2019. And now I believe I have them complete but for the irregular sets such as the outfits (I don’t enjoy taking clothes on and off the figures and avoid doing so as much as possible) and JP-only items like the JP Fan Club buildings or those not yet released in this side of the globe.

The mansion, I prefer to buy the JP version too no matter that amazon slashed the price here to USD $70, from $106.00.

I’m just waiting for this COVID-19 thing to blow over, and myself reassured that I’ll still be employed after May. ‘Cause if so, to celebrate that I didn’t get laid off, and got this job permanently by then (as I’m a new employee on probation for 6 months), I hope to get the JP version of the Town Series mansion as a gift/reward to myself. hehehe! Hopefully I’d find one for sale at the auction site when the time comes.
